Funktion und Aufgaben:
I am a Ph.D candidate in the STEEPclim project, which involves reconstruction of paleohydrology during the Lateglacial period in NW Europe. This is achieved by analysing the stable hydrogen isotopic composition of n-alkanes (leaf waxes) in lacustrine sediments.
My research area is the continental boundary of NW Europe, and entails lake sediments from Northern Ireland, the Orkney Islands, western Norway and northern Norway.
My scientific interests include:
- stable isotope geochemistry
- glacial - interglacial transitions
2010 - 2013: BSc Earth Sciences, Utrecht University
2013 - 2015: MSc Earth Sciences, Utrecht University, focus on Quaternary Climate and Organic Geochemistry
2015 - now: Ph.D. project STEEPclim, GFZ Potsdam and Potsdam University, supervisors: Dirk Sachse and Niels Hovius
