Summary:
This project aims at characterising and unravelling the formation characteristics of nanographite in contact with Mesozoic volcanics in the Karoo and Paraná Basin. Graphite formation is largely unknown in these basins, and may be a significant factor for the recalculation of greenhouse gas emissions during the Mesozoic as both basins cover large areas.
