Since February 1, a new water vapor radiometer at the roof of A17 is operating.

The HATPRO-G5 (Humidity And Temperature PROfilers - 5th Generation) of Radiometer Physics from Meckenhein near Bonn replaced an older model that was running from 2012 to the end of 2023. The radiometer measures water vapor and temperature data and is mainly used for the comparison of integrated water vapor from GNSS technique. Due to the high temporal resolution the radiometer provides a detailed picture of atmospheric humidity variability. The device is maintained and operated by section 1.1.
