The GFZ Prize "Senior Scientist 2020" went to Dr. Galina Dick from Section 1.1 Space Geodetic Techniques for her groundbreaking achievements in setting up ground-based GNSS atmospheric sounding and her commitment to young scientists.

The award ceremony of the GFZ Awards 2020 took place during the GFZ Information Market on September 21, 2023 at RIFS. It was not held until 2023 due to the pandemic years.
