GFZ German research centre for geo sciences

1st Gravity Workshop
DESERT 2000, 1st July - 5th July 2000
FU, Berlin

Programme

Monday, July 1

  • data evaluation of DESERT 2002 campaign
  • topography analysis
  • reassessment of new and old gravity data
  • compilation of grid files for data processing: -local scale: local scale: 100 - 100 m (200 - 200 m) grids, smoothed, regional scale: 20 - 20 km (50 - 50 km) grids, smoothed.

Tuesday, July 2

  • use of prepared grid files to apply to curvature, FFT, Euler deconvolution, gradient, field separation, basement depth calculations etc.
  • merge geology maps with analysis results
  • selection of maps for publication(s) and AGU-poster.

Wednesday, July 3

  • preparation of 3D modelling input files (for local IGMAS model); models will also include the western fault of Arava valley
  • preparation of constraining data (IGMAS´s confid-files; seismic tomography and more)
  • 3D modelling by help of IGMAS.

Thursday, July 4

  • continuation of Wednesday program
  • preparation of 3D modelling input files (for regional IGMAS model)
  • preparation of constraining data (IGMAS´s confid-files; Vp model and others)
  • 3D modelling by help of IGMAS.

Friday, July 5

  • discussion of results
