Function and Responsibilities:

I manage the EleMap lab, a Laser Ablation facility with two Quadrupole ICPMS.

Our facility specializes in trace element determination in different minerals (sulphides, silicates, oxides) and other materials such as glass. We have capabilites optimized for creating elemental mineral maps of high spatial resolution.

I am also a researcher in Earth Sciences and study mineral deposits in order to find important metal ressources that are fundamental to the fabrication of green energy technology.

Research Interests:

Analytical developments in laser ablation ICPMS geochemistry. Genesis and exploration of volcaninc hosted massive sulphides. Petrochronology in magmatic and metamorphic rocks.
