Research Interests:

  • Evolution of geological structures and deformation processes in sedimentary basins
  • Salt tectonics in different geological settings
  • Forward numerical modeling of crustal deformation processes at geological time-scales
  • Subsurface geological mapping with seismic reflection data
  • Interaction between tectonics and surface processes

My current research within the 3D Marmara project will be focused at constraining the present-day 3D structure and thermo-mechanical state of the Sea of Marmara region and the North Anatolian Fault Zone in the region.
