As member of the SPIN consortium GFZ is organising the second training event in Carcans close to Bordeaux. A short course on seismic instrumentation will introduce classical seismological instruments as well as novel optical measurement principles like fibre optic gyros and distributed acoustic sensing. The subsequent workshop will focus on monitoring and understanding of time-dependent behavior of the Earth’s crustal materials.
