Funktion und Aufgaben:

I am a Ph.D student in the STEEPclim project, reconstructing the spatiotemporal evolution of the hydrological cycle in central and eastern europe during the Younger Dryas period.
I extract and analyze biomarkers in lacustrine sediment cores from Lake Steißlingen in southern Germany and Lake Czechowski in northern Poland.
Further I installed and maintain an automated sediment trap in Lake Steißlingen, to uncover the mechanism behind terestrial and aquatic biomarker proxy formation and deposition.
