Wissenschaftliche Interessen:

  •    Physics of earthquakes: how do they initiate, propagate and stop
  •    Deformation mechanisms on faults, (particularly on transform faults)
  •    The interplay between seismic and aseismic deformation and how does it affect seismic hazard
  •    Characterization of the stress field   
  •    Fluid-induced seismicity (geothermal and hydrocarbon reservoirs, CO2 storage) 
  •    Integrating experimental work to better understand our observations from natur
  •    Reservoir geomechanics
