Funktion und Aufgaben:

3+3 Postdoctoral Research Scientist, with responsibilities for the HELGES Clean Laboratory.

Wissenschaftliche Interessen:

My research interests include
  • The development and application of palaeoclimate proxies (geochemical and micropalaeontological), with a view to better understanding past climates, weathering and carbon-cycle perturbations.
  • Understanding biogeochemical and geochemical cycles and feedbacks between the Earth’s climate and the Earth surface, with a particular focus on the long-term evolution of the Li and B isotope composition of seawater.
  • The biology, physiology and evolutionary history of foraminifera and other marine calcifiers, their response to ocean acidification, and their role in biogeochemical carbon cycling.
