The GIAME (Integrated geoscience of the Mérida Andes) project is a integrated effort to develop a geodinamic model of the interaction between the Caribbean and South American Plates in western Venezuela and asses seismic hazard potential. My PhD project is part of a colaboration between the Venezuean Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS, Spanish acronym) and the GFZ - Potsdam, funding for my studies come from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD, German acronym).
