Funktion und Aufgaben:

I am currently working on numerical modelling of SHSM (shale hosted sulphide massive) deposits. A little is still known about the physical and chemical properties of the fluids that generated these sulphide-rich (Pb, Cu, Zn, Fe,) mineralizations. With the aid of numerical models we will better visualise and constrain the movement of such fluids within the Earth's crust.

Wissenschaftliche Interessen:

  • Water-rock interaction.
  • Geochemistry of volcanic and geothermal systems.
  • Geochemical modelling.
  • Halogens in volcanic systems.
  • Earth analogues of Mars sulphate-rich terrains.

Karriere:

Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (2002-2009, Costa Rica): Chemical treatments and evaluation of changes in chemistry of deep fluids of Miravalles geothermal field in response to production. Exploration of geothermal resources in Las Pailas and Borinquen geothermal areas.
