NOTE: The wiring given above is designed for connecting Earth Data Logger to a MODEM.

For an intermediate access to the 'MODEM' port  by a PC or PDA remove connections between Pin A and Pin 1 as well as between Pin G and Pin 6, and apply bridges between Pin A and Pin G as well as between Pin 1 and Pin 6 (shortcut DTR and DCD).
