Spektrallabor

Das GFZ-Spektroskopielabor unterstützt Fortschritte in der optischen und thermischen Fernerkundung bei der Definition neuer Sensoren für weltraumgestützte Missionen, bei der Entwicklung von Methoden zur verbesserten Charakterisierung von Oberflächeneigenschaften und bei der Entwicklung von Standards und Protokollen.

Für punktuelle spektral hochauflösende Messungen stehen uns zwei Perkin-Elmer Laborspektroradiometer zur Verfügung, ein Lambda 950 für den VNIR-SWIR und ein Spextrum GX FTIR für den Thermalbereich. Damit können verschiedenste Materialien (Flüssigkeiten, Pulver, gepresste Tabletten, lockeres Bodenmaterial feste Objekte) spektral untersucht werden. Wir sind auch mit mehreren VNIR-SWIR- und FTIR-Feldspektralradiometern (z.B. ASD FieldSpec, Spectral evolution PSR+, Agilent 4300 Handheld FTIR) ausgestattet, die im Labor für standardisierte Messungen eingesetzt werden können. Zudem sind ein Goniometer für BRDF-Analysen und eine Dunkelkammer für standardisierte Bodenspektralbibliothek vorhanden. Für weitere Entwicklungen zur Harmonisierung von Bodendaten leiten wir die IEEE-SA P4005 Working Group on Standards and protocols for soil spectroscopy . Außerdem ist das GFZ-Spektroskopielabor Mitglied im Global Soil Laboratory Network GLOSOLAN der FAO.

Für flächenhafte Messungen im Labor, im Feld oder mittels Flugzeug verfügen wir über zwei hyperspektrale Zeilenkameras von HySpex, den VNIR-1600 und den SWIR-320m-e, und eine Telops Hyper-Cam. Im Labor werden die HySpex-Sensoren fest in ein modular verstellbares Gerüst montiert. Durch die Bewegung der Proben auf einer beweglichen Platte entsteht die Bildaufnahme. Im Labor können verschiedene Linsen genutzt werden um verschieden räumliche Auflösungen zu realisieren, unter anderem auch eine Mikroskop Linse mit der eine räumliche Auflösung von nur 1 µm Größe möglich ist. Die Telops Hyper-Cam ist ein abbildendes FTIR-Spektrometer, das im LWIR (7.7 - 11.8 µm) Wellenlängenbereich arbeitet, welches  gerade für die Wirkungskette "Hitzewellen"  im Projekt MOSES akquiriert wurde. 

Für in-situ Messungen im Gelände nutzen wir tragbare Spektrometer (ASD FieldSpec Pro, Spectral Evolution PSR+) für den VNIR und SWIR Bereich und ein GER Instrument für den VNIR Bereich (mit Adaption an Wasserkörper und arktische Regionen). Für den langwelligen Bereich verfügen wir über ein tragbares FTIR Agilent4300. Im Feld werden die HySpex-Sensoren auf ein Dreibein montiert. Das horizontal aufgenommene Bild entsteht durch die rotierende Bewegung des Sensors.

Für UAV- und Luftbildmessungen montieren wir unsere Geräte auf angepassten Plattformen. Für luftgestützte Messungen montieren wir unsere Vis/NIR- und thermischen Hyperspektralkameras (HySpex VNIR und SWIR, HyperCam LW) auf einem luftgestützten Träger. Für UAV-Messungen stehen mehrere multispektrale Vis/NIR- (Tetracam Mini MCA, MicaSense RedEdge M) und Hyperspektralkameras (HySpex Mjolnir SWIR-620, Cubert VNIR) sowie Wärmebildkameras (Optris PI450, InfraTec Vario Cam) zur Verfügung.

Darüber hinaus verfügen wir über verschiedenste Messgeräte für in-situ Messungen zur Kalibration und Validation von Befliegungsdaten:
