FOR 741 - Nanoscale processes and geomaterial properties

Die Forschergruppe "Nanoscale processes and geomaterials properties" wurde von 2007 bis 2016 von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) und dem Österreichischen Wissenschaftfonds (FWF) finanziert. Das Projekt ist abgeschlossen.

Die Forschergruppe beinhaltete verschiedene eng miteinander verbundene Projekte, wie (1) atomare Struktur, Thermodynamik und kinetische Eigenschaften von Korngrenzen, (2) Diffusion in Polykristallen, (3) die Entmischung in Mineralsystemen und (4) fluidgeförderter Mineralaustausch.

Die Sprecher der Forschergruppe, Wilhelm Heinrich (GFZ) und Rainer Abart (Universität Wien) organisierten die "EMU School on Mineral Reaction Kinetics" vom 19.-23. September 2016 in Wien und sind die Editoren der EMU Notes in Mineralogy, Vol. 16, "Mineral reaction kinetics: microstrutures, textures, chemical and isotopic signatures".
