Career:

1998-2003: Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Position: assistant teacher at the faculty (and also a teacher at the High school for the Gifted)

2003-  : Southern Institute of Water Resources Research SIWRR, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Position: Main researcher. Duties: mathematical and physical modeller, programmer  

2012- : Section 5.4 Hydrology, German Research Center for Geosciences. Position: Research scientist. Duties: large scale flood risk modeller (responsible for several components of the risk model chain including a stochastic weather generator, a hydrological model, a hydraulic model (1D,2D and coupling)

1994-1998: Study of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Degree: Bachelor of Science 

1999-2002: Study of advanced Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Degree: Master of Science in Complex Analysis

2007-2011: Study at Section 5.4 Hydrology, German Research Center for Geosciences and Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems, University of Stuttgart. Degree: Dr. Ing.Thesis: Multi-objective automatic calibration of hydrodynamic models – development of the  concept and an application in the Mekong Delta  (supervisors: Prof. Dr. Bruno Merz and Prof. Dr. András Bárdossy)
