Technical staff member in the workgroup "Exploration of Thermal Geosystems" of the Section 4.8 Geoenerg

    - technical support for the "Thermal Petrophysics Lab"

    - technical support for the GFZ-infrastructure unit ITHERLAB

    - technical support for field- and laboratory operations in the Section 4.8 Geoenergy

Responsibilities:

Preparation of rock samples:

    - drilling

    - coring

    - sawing

    - saturating and drying

Analytical methods:

    - measurement of thermal conductivity using Thermal Conductivity Scanner method (TCS)

    - measurement of thermal conductivity using Transient Line Source method (TLS)

    - measurement of thermal conductivity using Transient Plane source method (TPS)

    - measurement of thermal conductivity usind Modified Transient Plance Source (MTPS)

    - mercury porosimetry

    - HD-Photography and 3D-scanning of rock surfaces

Craftwork and technology:

    - metalworks

    - electronics

    - programming

    - processing of measuring data

Fieldwork:

    - coreworks

    - borehole-logging

Organisational:

    - aquisition of lab supplies

    - aquisition of protective equipment
