Function and Responsibilities:

PostDoc  in CRC-1114 - Scaling Cascades in Complex Systems

Research Interests:

  • Analogue modelling of earthquakes using different materials and monitoring deformations with PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry), photoelastic and other methods.
  • Interpretation of the gained data using elastic dislocation models and other numerical tools.
  • Refinement of scaling laws to acquire a more precise understanding of the relation model-nature
