Function and Responsibilities:
Demonstration of stimulation treatments to enhance the hydraulic performance of geothermal reserovirs while minimizing the environmental impact including induced seismicity within the framework of the project "DESTRESS - Demonstration of soft stimulation treatments of geothermal reservoirs", funded by the European Commission - Horizon 2020.
Research topics include the evaluation of reservoir characteristics, planning and performing hydraulic stimulation treatments, estimating and analyzing seismic risks, and quantification of processes observed in field scale that can be validated and compared with laboratory and mine scale experiments and numerical simulations.
