Career:
I studied geography at the Martin-Luther University Halle Wittenberg and received my doctorate at the Technical University Berlin in 2013. Since 2007 I have been working as a scientist at the GFZ in the section Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics. My research interests focus on VIS/NIR/SWIR/TIR and SAR data analysis for agriculture as well as spatial and spectral modelling of reflection signals.Furthermore, I coordinate overall and subprojects of various national and international research projects. Since 2016 I am also GFZ coordinator of the JECAM test area DEMMIN and thus co-responsible for the strategic development of the site.
From January 2020 until March 2023 I was head of the GFZ Helmholtz Innovation Lab - FERN.Lab, which is a technology and transfer platform for innovative methods developed at Department 1.
From 04/2023 I started my new position as remote sensing science expert at constellr GmbH.
