Career:

Arnd Heumann is staff member of the Executive Board at GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, where he has worked in various capacities since 2010. Before joining GFZ he was the technology transfer coordinator at the Office for Geothermal Energy of the EnergyAgency.NRW. He was also manager of the Geothermal Energy Network integrated in the structure of EnergyRegion.NRW, the former energy economy cluster of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Prior to that, he spent some 15 years in academia. His academic qualifications include a MSc in Geology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany) and a PhD in Earth Sciences from VU University Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
