- Fluid-rock interaction, deformation and alteration processes of rocks from the upper crust
- Influence of clay minerals to the seismic behavior of a fault
- Diagenesis and low grade metamorphism in different geological settings
- Dating fault zones
- The role of clay minerals in nuclear waste repositories
Projects:
- Relating physical properties from geophysical downhole logging data with clay mineralogy from drill core samples of the ICDP lake Junin drilling project (DFG SPP1006)
- Integrity of nuclear waste repository systems -cross-scale system understanding and analysis (proposal Zukunftsthemen 2017)
