Function and Responsibilities:

Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Interests:

My interest lies in better understanding the dynamics and the time- and spatial scales of Earth's surface processes. Combining field observations, remote sensing, geochronology, laboratory experiments, and geochemical analyses, I am particularly invested in studying links between tectonics, erosion processes, and chemical cycles. More information can be found on my research website.

Career:

since April 2017: Postdoctoral researcher - GFZ, Section 4.6 Geomorphology

Oct 2011 - Dec 2016: Research and Teaching Assistant, University of California Santa Barbara

Education:

Oct 2011 - Mar 2017: PhD Earth Science, University of California Santa Barbara

Oct 2007 - Jun 2011: BA & MSci, Natural Science, University of Cambridge

Projects:

1) Impacts of discharge variability and erosion processes on the chemical weathering of silicates and carbonates

2) Lateral mobility of alluvial rivers

3) Quaternary tectonics on the flanks of the Yellowstone Hotspot

4) Quaternary tectonics in the eastern Pamir-Tian Shan collision zone
