GDN - Geo Data Node

The Geo Data Node Project aims to improve data management practices at GFZ. In the course of two years the project, funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education (BMBF), seeks to foster the implementation and practice of research data guidelines recently approved by GFZ. These guidelines are inspired by the FAIR data principles: data should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. The project relies on the expertise and experiences of different research units and scientific programmes, such as the "Library and Information Services" which hosts a data repository and supports GFZ scientists seeking to publish their data, and communities with advanced data management practices already in place, namely GEOFON and the Geophysical Instrument Pool Potsdam (GIPP).
