GFZ's Adolf-Schmidt-Observatory for Geomagnetism in Niemegk hosted this year's meeting of the IMAGE consortium, whose research aims at understanding magnetic field effects in the auroral zone. This contributes to our understanding of space weather. About 20 scientists from Norway, Sweden, Finnland, Denmark, Polen, Japan and Germany has attended from October 11 to 13 in Adolf Schmidt Observatory Niemegk.
