Personalia | Liane G. Benning is now member of the Academia Europaea

08.06.2017: Liane G. Benning, head of the GFZ section Interface Geochemistry, was recently elected to the Academia Europaea (AE).

The AE is a European, non-governmental association whose objective is to encourage the advancement of “excellent scientific achievements”. Founded in 1988 the Academy consists of about 3740 members including leading experts in humanities, economics and natural sciences.

Liane G. Benning is additional to her position at the GFZ a professor in Interface Geochemistry at the Freie Universität Berlin and a professor in Experimental Biogeochemistry at the University of Leeds, UK. (JH)
