Personalia | Dr. Heidi Kreibich is awarded with the “GFZ-Forschungspreis” for Senior Scientists

Within the framework of the New Year’s reception at the GFZ, selected staff members were awarded for outstanding achievements during the past year. Dr. Heidi Kreibich, from the GFZ section Hydrology, was acknowledged with the Senior Scientist Award, which was presented by Prof. Hüttl and Dr. Schwartze, GFZ Scientific and Administrative Executive Board, respectively.

19.01.2016: Within the framework of the New Year’s reception at the GFZ, selected staff members were awarded for outstanding achievements during the past year. Dr. Heidi Kreibich, from the GFZ section Hydrology, was acknowledged with the Senior Scientist Award, which was presented by Prof. Hüttl and Dr. Schwartze, GFZ Scientific and Administrative Executive Board, respectively.

Dr. Schwartze, presenter of the awards, emphasized, in particular, her substantial work on the topic of flood risk. With her work Dr. Kreibich is “highly visible”, also internationally. She has been working at the GFZ since 2002 and during this time has carried out extensive work in the fields of flood risk impacts and adaption to weather extremes.

Further awardees are Dr. Samuel Angiboust, who was awarded the Prize for Junior Researcher, Dr. Alexander Rudloff was honored with the Prize for Science Management, Sylvia Magnussen received the Prize for Technical Employees 2015, and Corinna Fuhrmann was honored for her work in the field of Science Administration.
