Personalia | Charlotte Krawczyk is appointed member of DFG Senate Commission Earth System Science

13.10.2017: Charlotte Krawczyk, Head of GFZ Department Geophysics, was recently appointed member of the newly established Senate Commission „Earth System Science“ (SKE) of the German Research Foundation DFG.

The new Commission replaces the former Senate Commission on Future Directions in Geoscience. Its aim is to integrate the diverse research on Earth Sciences for a holistic Earth System Science, and to develop a research agenda. The SKE will deal with questions of future research infrastructure and institutions, as well as with issues of research policy.

Besides her position as Department Head, Charlotte Krawczyk is also Head of the GFZ section Near Surface Geophysics and Professor for Geophysics at the Technical University of Berlin. (ak)
