Personalia | Best Presentation Award for Susanne Glaser

Susanne Glaser received the "Best Presentation Award" of the GNSS + 2018 conference.

Susanne Glaser, GFZ section Geodetic Space Techniques, received the "Best Presentation Award" at the GNSS + 2018 conference of the Institute of Navigation (ION) in Miami, USA.

She was awarded for her presentation „On the Impact of Inter-satellite Links and Ultra-Stable Clocks within the Future GNSS Constellations on Geodetic Parameters", held in the session "Future Trends of Satellite Navigation". Susanne Glaser presented works of the joint project ADVANTAGE (‘Advanced Technologies for Navigation and Geodesy’) by GFZ and German Aerospace Center on the development of innovative architectures for future satellite navigation systems, such as optical clocks, inter-satellite links, and atomic interferometers. One aspect of the project is the investigation of the impact of technical developments on geodetic parameters like satellite orbits, global reference frames or Earth’s gravity field.

The ION GNSS + is the world's largest conference on GNSS technology, GNSS services and GNSS products. ‘GNSS’ includes global navigation satellite systems like the American GPS or the European GALILEO. (ak)
