28.09.2015|Potsdam/Berlin: From 28 September to 2 October, more than 90 young geoscientists meet in Potsdam and Berlin to extend their methodical knowledge.

The five-day Geo.X School „Methods in Geosciences“ offers 12 different courses on geoscientific methods based on the latest scientific knowledge. Topics of the courses range from climate modelling and geodata applications through scientific drilling to astrobiological methods. Great emphasis is on combining theoretical with practical training.

The Geo.X School is an event of the geoscientific competence network Geo.X. Partners are the Alfred Wegener Institut (AWI), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), die Free University Berlin (FU), the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), the Humboldt University Berlin, the Berlin Museum of Natural History, the Technical University of Berlin (TU), the University of Potsdam and the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences.
