09.11.2015: In cooperation with the Deutsche Meteorologische Gesellschaft (DMG), GFZ is organizing the 14th training for teachers “Herbstschule System Earth” on the topic “city of the future ("Zukunftsstadt")”.

More than 80 participants come together at GFZ to inform themselves about new developments in geosciences. The lecture is called „City of the future“, which is the title of the current Year of Science, proclaimed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF. Geoscientists from TU Berlin, HU Berlin, PIK, TU Braunschweig, and GFZ give talks on how geosciences can contribute to the city of the future.

This training for teachers aims at improving the transfer of knowledge from science to school and strengthening the part of natural sciences in geography.
