"Berufsbildung ohne Grenzen" award for GFZ

"Berufsbildung ohne Grenzen" award by the Potsda, Chamber of Industry and Commerce for GFZ.

Last week the IHK Potsdam (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) honoured training companies that send young people to other European countries. The GFZ also receives the "Training without borders" award for its “valuable contribution to promoting cross-border mobility in vocational training”.

This year, two trainees from the human resources department went to England. Victoria Ulbricht is returning from a three week stay in London, while Isabel Schröder went to Bristol for four weeks for a one week language course and a three week internship in a finance company.

Isabel Schröder about her time in Bristol: "I liked my stay abroad very much and I recommend it to everyone who is currently in the training period, because it is definitely worth a valuable experience and an an unforgettable time. It also helps you to improve your English and above all your self-confidence, and you get to know new people". The GFZ was already awarded the Euroapprenticeship Medal by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in 2016. (ks)
