After the successful premiere in 2011, the science communication competition FameLab Germany 2018 will enter the eighth round.
So it´s called once again:
„Three minutes, a square meter of space. Nothing more. Only what you can carry yourself to present your research in an understandable and engaging manner. Science Communication at its best!“
The regional heat of FameLab Germany 2018 for the Berlin-Brandenburg region will be held on the Telegrafenberg in Potsdam on March 13, starting at 3:00 pm.
The two regional winners participate in the national final in Bielefeld to qualify for the international finale at the Cheltenham Science Festival, where they compete with the best from over 20 countries.

Famelab Germany is aimed at science and technology scientists from the age of 21 who are researching or working in the fields of technology, computer science, mathematics, medicine and psychology. Students should have completed at least a Bachelor's degree. The topics are freely selectable as long as they deal with a scientific question. Stage props are welcome, PowerPoint presentations etc. are banned.
The judging panel, made up of professors, science journalists and communication professionals, evaluate the content, clarity and charisma of the presentations, which can be either in German or English.
