After the successful premiere in 2011, the science communication competition FameLab Germany 2019 will enter the ninth round. And that means one more time:
„Three minutes, a square meter of space. Nothing more. Only what you can carry yourself to present your research in an understandable and engaging manner. Science Communication at its best!“
The two regional winners participate in the national final in Bielefeld to qualify for the international finale at the Cheltenham Science Festival, where they compete with the best from over 20 countries.
Win 300,- €* and a Professional media and presentation training at the British Council in just 3 minutes! (*200,-€ for the 2nd place).
Participation: Famelab Germany is aimed at science and technology scientists from the age of 21 who are researching or working in the fields of technology, computer science, mathematics, medicine and psychology. Students should have completed at least a Bachelor's degree. The topics are freely selectable as long as they deal with a scientific question. Stage props are welcome, PowerPoint presentations etc. are banned. The judging panel, made up of professors, science journalists and communication professionals, evaluate the content, clarity and charisma of the presentations, which can be either in German or English.
