Collaboration drives long-term scientific progress. At the GFZ, we identify opportunities for synergies and, together with our researchers and employees, develop structures that enhance and support each other. With this in mind, we take both internal and external synergy effects into account.
We analyze the diversity of the GFZ’s network relationships and compile this information for our scientists to use in their research activities. And so we bring together information and the ability to initiate new networks and join existing alliances.
Particularly our young scientists benefit from these networks. Interdisciplinary training is one of our core topics.
We create synergy effects within the GFZ in the realm of scientific infrastructure. Our systematic networking of scientists promotes our infrastructure's sustainable use, and we develop and support new exchange formats.
