Abstract (EDOC: 15832)

A simulator of hyperspectral images has been developed in the frame of the Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program (EnMAP) mission. It represents a powerful tool to simulate and process realistic EnMAP scenes under varying instrumental and environmental configurations. In this work, the EnMAP forward scene simulator has been coupled to a series of pre-processing modules (radiometric calibration and atmospheric and geometric correction) in order to build a representative end-to-end simulation model. This end-to-end simulator is able to derive EnMAP reflectance images after the complete L1 and L2 processing chain including radiometric calibration, orthorectification and atmospheric correction. Some case studies from these end-to-end simulations are presented in this poster, with emphasis put on quantitative evaluation of the influence of instrumental and processing errors on the retrieval of higher-level products.
