MESI
Modular Earth Science Infrastructure (MESI) contains different instruments and instrument pools, laboratories, data and information portals.
MESI enables- to image geo-processes in time and space
- to monitor the actual situation and changes of system earth
- to study physical and chemical variables of system earth
- to register long term global and regional changes
The use of the different instruments is open for all scientists from research institutions and universities without any charge. An application form (http://www.gfz-potsdam.de/portal/gfz/Struktur/Departments/Department+2/sec22/gipp/documents/CC-GIPP-Application.pdf;jsessionid=C88789E50DFD1AC6CE2C9B186077334A) is given on our webpage. The applications are reviewed by the corresponding External Steering Committee (http://www.gfz-potsdam.de/portal/gfz/Struktur/Departments/Department+2/sec22/gipp/documents/steering_board;jsessionid=C88789E50DFD1AC6CE2C9B186077334A). Based on these recommendations GFZ sets up an operation plan and grants access to the MESI tools. Users will receive training, and if necessary, support in operating the equipment.
