Capacity Building for Indonesia

One of the limiting factors for the growth of geothermal energy supply in Indonesia is the availability of
qualified human resources. To help overcome this limitation the Indonesian-German cooperation project
will support initiatives to expand geothermal training in Indonesia.
A number of initiatives are planned:
Indonesian-German expert exchange program; PhD program with several PhD positions in Exploration, Reservoir Engineering and Geothermal Plant Technology supervised in Germany¸GFZ experts will participate in a teaching program at Indonesian partner institutions.
