Formal Research Proposal

We provide three methods for obtaining a copy of our research proposal. This form should be submitted only after the principal investigator has discussed his/her research plans with the head of the GFZ's SIMS laboratory. Our preference is to receive the proposal submissions electronically using the first of the techniques provided below. The receipt of the application will be acknowledged within a couple of days.

Submitting electronically using MSword 97/98/2000 

1. Download the research proposal form as word document and store it on your hard disk
2. Complete each of the 17 questions -- please stay within the defined text frames
3. E-mail the MSword file as an attachment to SIMSlab@gfz-potsdam.de

Download form in pdf format and submit by mail

1. Download the research proposal in pdf format and then print it using Adobe Acrobat Reader
2. Complete each of the 17 questions using a conventional typewriter
3. Return the form by mail to the address given at the bottom of this page

Requesting and submitting a proposal by mail

1. You may request a proposal form by ordinary mail at the address given below
2. Complete the form using a conventional typewriter
3. Return the form by mail to the address given below
