Observation and Numerical Modelling of the Crustal Stress Field

The contemporary crustal stress field and its changes with time are of key interest to a wide range of practical applications such as reservoir management, stability aspects of underground openings, and seismic hazard assessment. Stress data of the Earth's crust are provided by the 01_WSM  that is integrated in our section. To quantify the contemporary crustal stress field and its temporal changes we incorporate 4D geomechanical numerical models.
