Observation and Numerical Modelling of the Crustal Stress Field

The contemporary crustal stress field and its changes with time are of key interest to a wide range of practical applications such as reservoir management, stability aspects of underground openings, and seismic hazard assessment. Stress data of the Earth's crust are provided by the WSM that is integrated in our section. To quantify the contemporary crustal stress field and its temporal changes we incorporate 4D geomechanical numerical models.
