Strong ground motion modelling

The project is focused on earthquake early warning systems for large European cities having significant seismic hazard. All parameters relevant for an early warning system are studied, including real time estimation of earthquake source parameters, real time damage assessment and risk reduction, real time production of shake maps and real time aftershock hazard assessment. Main target areas are Athens, Bucharest, Cairo, Istanbul and Naples.
