Geomagnetic Observatory Wingst (WNG)
Since 2000 Geomagnetic Observatory Wingst (WNG) has been operated in a co-operation between GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam and Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH), from 2004 on as an remote station of Niemegk Geomagnetic Observatory. The observatory belonged to BSH up to 1999.
At the Wingst Observatory, the geomagnetic field intensity and directions have been recorded since 1938 and indices of geomagnetic activity determined since 1944.
