Scientific interests:

My main research interest is the application of the magnetotelluric (MT) method in a broad geophysical context (different geological settings, integration with other geophysical techniques, etc.). I have experience with the MT method in a variety of settings: hydro-geological studies in a volcanic island (Tenerife, Spain), crustal structure of an ancient orogen (SW Iberian Peninsula). From a theoretical point of view I have worked in the development of techniques of model appraisal.

My current position at the GFZ is as a Post-doc in the I-GET project, in which I am responsible for the MT experiments in the Groß Schönebeck (Germany) deep sedimentary reservoir. This EU project is aimed at developing a geophysical strategy for exploration of potential geothermal reservoirs.
