Available realtime seismological stations in the western Pacific

International Workshop on Seismology, Seismic Hazard and Tsunami Early Warning

Suva, Fiji 12.7.-23.7.2010

The GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam is organising an international workshop on "Seismology, Seismic Hazard, and Tsunami Early Warning" to be realised in July 2010 (12.7.-23.7.2010) in Suva/Fiji. The planned workshop is an activity of Germany and the GeoForschungsZentrum following the Port Vila meeting 2009. Cooperation partners of the workshop are the Mineral Resources Department from the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources (Fiji) and SOPAC (Fiji) and the GNS (New Zealand).

Actually, Germany invited 12 countries in the region to participate at the 2-week workshop (Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu, PNG, Samoa, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau, in addition also Cook Islands.
