ASEAN 2012

As a contribution to the ASEAN-EU Year of Science, Technology and Innovation 2012, an international training course on „Earthquake Monitoring, Tectonic Deformation, Seismic Zoning Methods and Tsunami Early Warning“ will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 19th November to 1st December this year. The event continues the scientific and technological cooperation between the European Union and countries of the ASEAN Federation in the field of natural hazards mitigation, focusing on socially relevant issues that have been caused by disasters. The course is jointly organized by the Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency of the Republic of Indonesia BMKG and by the German Research Centre for Geosciences, Potsdam, Germany (GFZ).
