IP-Strategy

At GFZ the instruments of IP-rights are used to achieve for the following objectives:

• acquiring IP-rights for commercially usable research results (particularly for key solutions of new procedures or products with high utilization potential);
• Independent patent right registrations, economic evaluation of the patent rights in the context of the utilization strategy (licensing, sales, bringing into a co-operation);
• Joint IPR-application (patents, design, trademarks), transfer of the of exploitation rights to the industrial partners and participation at profits - utilization alliance.
