Safer Holidays: Information about Earthquakes and Tsunamis

03.07.2008 | Potsdam: At the beginning of the holiday season GFZ, the German Research Centre for Geosciences, would like to inform all those who are planning to travel to areas which are potentially threatened by earthquakes and tsunamis about its leaflets "What to do if you experience a strong Earthquake" and "Tsunami Leaflet". For those who plan a longer stay information is given how to adjust the places of work and living.
These leaflets provide persons who are temporariliy or permanently staying in potentially endangered areas overseas with advice on how to behave in the case of strong earthquakes or tsunamis. The "Global Seismic Hazard Map" shows the main earthquake zones of the world.
