For the third year running: British Council proudly presents FameLab Three minutes, a square meter of space. Nothing more. Only what you can carry yourself to present your research in an understandable and engaging manner. Science Communication at its best, including fun!
For the third year running, FameLab Germany is presented by the British Council and sponsored by the magazine GEO, Bielefeld Marketing and locally by RadioEins and Science Slam Potsdam. There are seven regional qualifications in Germany and on March, 15th the competition for the region Brandenburg-Berlin will take place at the German Research Centre for Geosciences GFZ in Potsdam. There are two regional winners (with 300, - or 200, - Euro award) and a winner of the Audience Award: long year subscription of GEO for free.

The winner, who proceeds from the seven regional preliminary rounds of the national final in Bielefeld (Travel and accommodation will be provided), will be invited to the finals at the Cheltenham Science Festival in England, to compete with the best out of over 20 countries!
Who can participate?
Young scientists from the age of 21 in the study areas of natural science, informatics, engineering, medicine and psychology are invited. The topics can be chosen freely as long as they deal with a scientific question. Stage props are allowed, PowerPoint presentations etc. are banned. The judging panel, made up of professors, science journalists and communication professionals, evaluate the plausibility, coherence and originality of the presentations. The presentation can be either in German or English.
The number of participants is limited, so do not wait and register now!
The regional rounds of the FameLab Germany are taking place in Lübeck (21th January), Leipzig (13th February), Bielefeld (2nd March), Munich (5th March), Hamburg (9th March), Karlsruhe and Potsdam (15th March ).
The national final is on 4th May in Bielefeld.
