GIS in Hydrology - International Training Course at GFZ

The training course “Geographical Information Systems in Hydrology” has been developed within the frame of the International Research Project CAWa - Central Asian Water. In collaboration with the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG), GFZ has tailored the course especially to employees of HydroMet Services of the countries Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.

Thematically, the main focus is laid on hydrological problems. The project "Central Asian Water" (CAWa) is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office for a period of 3 years (2008 – 2011).
